smallbatch metal works sculpted after earthen form and decay

about

tsuga is a genus of conifer endemic to the rugged coasts and temperate rainforests of the pacific northwest. the clouded mountain ranges and desolate seascapes, whose gnarls and crags inform this work, host throngs of these towering hemlocks - climbing up from the moss and rot to form silent, swaying cathedrals. tsuga was originally envisioned as a multidisciplinary design lab intended for experimentation in art and design rooted in the material and aesthetic features of the northwest, but my focus now is jewelry and sculptural adornments. all works are designed and produced by spencer adams in new york city.
